Here are some facts about Black Health:
Black Americans are more likely to experience anxiety, depression, and other symptoms of emotional distress than white Americans, yet they're also less likely to receive treatment.
The risk of pregnancy related deaths for Black women is 3-4x higher than white women.
Relative to white patients, Black patients were less likely to receive pain medication for moderate pain.

Racism within medicine has a substantial effect on both the quality of care and doctor-patient trust Black people experience. This BHM, we want to bring attention to those disparities.
